How Networks Work
Devices, connections and the data between them
This lesson explains the concept, then checks your understanding in a short interactive exercise.
A network connects devices
A computer network is a group of devices that can communicate and exchange data with each other.
- Laptop
- Phone
- Router
- Server
Data travels across the network
When you open a website, your device sends data toward another system and receives data in return. That two-way exchange is what every online activity is built on.
